SBA Veterans Advantage Program
The SBA Veterans Advantage 7(a) program waives certain SBA guarantee fees for veteran-owned businesses, which makes capital cheaper. Eligibility: at least 51% veteran ownership.
Qualifying veteran categories: honorably discharged veterans, active-duty service members in the Transition Assistance Program (TAP), reservists and National Guard members, current spouses of qualifying military members, widowed spouses of service members killed in action.
Loan amounts up to $5M, terms up to 10 years for working capital and 25 years for real estate, rates roughly 11-13% APR in 2026.
When SBA Veterans Loans Make Sense
- You have 60-120 days to wait for approval
- You can provide 2-3 years of tax returns and full business documentation
- You want the lowest available rate
- Loan amount is large enough to justify the documentation lift (usually $100K+)
- You have collateral or are willing to pledge personal guarantee
When Private Veteran Business Funding Makes Sense
- You need money in 4-24 hours
- You don't want to compile 2-3 years of tax returns
- Your credit is sub-680 (SBA prefers higher scores)
- You have been turned down by an SBA lender
- You need flexibility — variable revenue, seasonal business, recent credit hits
We offer veteran-owned California operators full access to working capital, equipment financing, lines of credit, and revenue-based financing — funded in hours, not months.
