Questions owners usually ask first
Is my score too low?
We consider a FICO of 500 or above. The score is not the only input.
Will it hurt my credit to find out?
No. The application uses a soft credit pull.
What do I need?
About three months of business bank statements and a five-minute application. No tax returns are required.
A city with makers and headquarters
Wikipedia describes Santa Ana as a city in and the county seat of Orange County. It lists corporate headquarters there, including Behr Paint, Ingram Micro and TTM Technologies, regional offices for Xerox and T-Mobile, and the Rickenbacker electric guitar company. It also records that the Glenn L. Martin Company, a precursor to Lockheed Martin, was founded in Santa Ana in 1912.
That mix of manufacturing history and office headquarters leaves room for smaller suppliers: sign makers, print shops, instrument repair, packaging, courier services, tax and bookkeeping offices, taquerias, and trades crews working across the county. Each is paid on a different rhythm, and each sees the same pinch when a large customer pays late.
How a bad score typically starts
- A slow quarter put the payroll on a personal card.
- A repair bill arrived at the wrong moment and a payment was missed.
- An old account went to collections while the owner focused on the business.
None of these tells you whether the business can handle funding today. The bank account does. If deposits are steady, balances are not constantly empty, and obligations clear on time, the file has a case behind it.
A quick illustration
A print shop buys $20,000 of paper and equipment supplies for a large holiday order, then waits 30 days on a corporate customer. The owner's FICO is 530 after two missed card payments last year. The shop's statements still show regular deposits from repeat clients. These are example numbers used only to illustrate the timing, and they are not our terms.
Who this page is for
It is for owners whose personal credit took damage while the business kept going: a print shop, a small manufacturer, a bookkeeping office, a taqueria, a trades contractor. It is also for owners who were turned down elsewhere because a bank applied a hard score cutoff. If that is you, a review that reads the actual deposits and balances is a different kind of look, and it costs only a soft pull to find out.
Where to go from here
Funding runs from $25,000 to $5,000,000 and can arrive in as little as 24 hours. Sole proprietors can apply. For timing gaps, see working capital. For machines and vehicles, see equipment financing. New owners can read startup business loans. Others may compare revenue-based financing, merchant cash advance and term loans, and owners with heavy daily payments can read about MCA relief.
