Lumpy revenue is normal in Palmdale
Aerospace is the most important industry in Palmdale, and other manufacturers have moved to the city for more affordable land, access to Palmdale Airport, and the tax benefits of the Antelope Valley Enterprise Zone and the Palmdale Federal Foreign Trade Zone. Those zones were set up to bring jobs to the Antelope Valley so that Palmdale and nearby Lancaster depend less on the Los Angeles Basin and the San Fernando Valley.
For the machine shops, parts suppliers, maintenance crews and service firms around that work, revenue rarely comes in a smooth line. A big payment lands, then weeks pass before the next one. Owners carry payroll and rent on personal credit during the gaps, and the score takes the hit.
How a reviewer reads uneven deposits
A low score plus uneven deposits is not the same file as a low score plus shrinking deposits. When we look at about three months of business statements, the useful questions are:
- Do the large payments repeat, even if the timing varies?
- Does the account stay positive between them, or does it run negative for long stretches?
- Are there other financing debits already pulling from the balance?
- Is there an obvious reason for the credit damage, such as a contract that ran late?
A short note explaining your payment cycle helps the reader. Without it, three months of statements can make a healthy contract business look erratic.
Example: a subcontractor between payments
For illustration: a fabrication subcontractor receives payments of about $90,000 in month one, almost nothing in month two, and about $110,000 in month three. The owner's score fell into the 500s after carrying payroll on cards through two slow quarters. Read month by month, month two looks alarming. Read as a pattern, the business is paid on milestones and has repeated them. That is the reading we try to make. These figures are illustrative only, not our terms or an expected outcome.
What is on offer
Funding runs from $25,000 to $5,000,000, and approved files can be funded in as little as 24 hours. We consider FICO 500 and above, the pull at application is soft, no tax returns are required, and sole proprietors can apply. The application takes about 5 minutes. We cannot promise approval, and a weaker profile may mean a smaller amount or a higher cost. Make sure the next contract payment can cover the obligation before you sign.
